v16 hub update: Upgrade considerations timeline

Timing updates for outstanding Extensions

We have recently updated the v16 hub. These updates include the expected timelines and release plans for the outstanding TNEW Extensions.

Release plans

Based on our experience with the Extensions already in general release, we will be releasing the Direct Debit and Education Registration Extension first as limited pilots. A limited pilot means we are working with a select number of members to further test the Extension. We will then determine a timeline for general release based on feedback from the pilots. 

Direct Debit Extension

We continue to develop and test the Direct Debit Extension for v16 and now estimate it will be available as a limited pilot in early Q4, 2023. This additional testing period will ensure the solution is right for our UK members. 

Education Registration Extension

As we continue to assess requirements and resourcing, we’re estimating the Education Registration Extension will be available as a limited pilot in early Q1, 2024. 

Please contact us to discuss how this change in timing may affect your upgrade planning. We will continue to update the v16 hub when we know more about both Extensions. 

Exchanges Extension

As we have gone through discovery of this potential Extension, we have determined that an Exchanges Extension is not the right solution to develop at this time. Members who currently use or are interested in online exchanges have very different needs that do not overlap in functionality. We have decided that TNEW online exchanges will continue as a customization. 

This means if you were waiting for the Exchanges Extension to start your upgrade to v16, you no longer have to wait. You can proceed with updating your current exchange customization to be v16-compatible. You can either complete these updates yourself or work with our Professional Services team; reach out to consulting@tessituranetwork.com for more information.  

A reminder, your upgrade timing will depend on your use of customizations and products and/or features that may not be available yet. Upcoming fixes and availability in the upgrade schedule will also be a consideration. We understand that you may have larger organizational priorities, projects or specific windows that will affect your upgrade timeline too.
