We are thrilled to be recognized as the User Group Program Community of the Year by the 2023 CMX Community Industry Awards.

Community is one of the three pillars of our mission.

CMX is a leading, global professional community for managers dedicated to advancing the community industry and helping professional community builders thrive. The Community Industry Awards celebrate outstanding communities that are raising the bar. The User Group Program Community award goes to a team building and nurturing an outstanding user group program.

We are grateful for this recognition. More importantly, we are grateful to the 100+ volunteer Community Chairs who keep us connected in all regions and interest areas we serve. Our Tessitura community encompasses arts and culture professionals from as many disciplines as there are business areas that the Tessitura software powers. The collaboration and sharing among these individuals is unparalleled in the business of arts and culture. We accept this award on behalf of our global community and thank everyone who voted.

Helping Tessitura community members thrive

From new users to seasoned experts, the Tessitura community is comprised of passionate people who know that arts and culture institutions do their best when they work together. We offer 70+ global community groups related to topical, affinity and regional interests. Affinity groups are based around individuals with similar backgrounds or lived experiences. Members in a local geographic area or region form regional groups. Topical groups focus on a specific topic or interest area.

When remarking on the value of the Tessitura community, Greg Garcia, Community Chair of the Austin Tessitura Community, shares, “One of the greatest things that Tessitura can do and has done for organizations on the system is providing this community by default. You find out very quickly that some of the same trials and tribulations or successes are shared among people that are going through the same thing you are. The community alone has just been so crucial to our success.”

All Tessitura users can register for community events and explore ways to get involved in our Community Hub. Members are invited to join in community activities through groups, online forums, and at our global Tessitura Learning and Community Conferences. Participants and attendees gain and share insights, elevate key strategies, focus on key business and technology goals, and network with industry leaders.

Corey L. Smith, a Community Chair for the People of Color Tessitura affinity group, shared: “My favorite thing about the Tessitura community is the diversity of not only the programming, but the people too. Everyone's from a different discipline or background and location, but the people are just as diverse. Everyone has different experiences and different backgrounds, and they're so unique. I think we should celebrate that. And I think that is celebrated with Tessitura.”
