Tessitura announced today the new members of the company’s Board of Directors.

As a nonprofit member-owned cooperative, Tessitura is governed by leaders of the arts and culture organizations who use the company’s technology.

The new board members are Ming Min Hui, Chief Financial Officer at Boston Ballet; Barbara Polk, Chief Administrative Officer at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; and Jamie Bosket, President & CEO of the Virginia Museum of History & Culture.

These three board members represent important constituencies of Tessitura users: performing arts and admission-based organizations, with a variety of annual budget sizes. Tessitura serves arts and culture organizations in ten countries, from North America to Europe to Australia and New Zealand.

About the new board members

Ming Min Hui has served as Chief Financial Officer at Boston Ballet since 2019. She originally joined Boston Ballet as Chief of Staff in 2015 through the Harvard Business School Leadership Fellows Program, where she graduated with an MBA in General Management. Prior to Harvard Business School Ming worked as an analyst at JPMorgan Chase in Investment Banking and Corporate Strategy. She also holds a BA in English from Yale University. Throughout her college and professional career, Ming has interned and volunteered with various cultural institutions, including the Yale University Art Gallery, Museum of Chinese in America, and Metropolitan Museum of Art. She lives in South Boston, MA with her husband and toddler.

Barbara Polk is a senior executive with more than 20 years of operations and human resources leadership, DEI, and board governance experience. Barbara is currently the Chief Administrative Officer at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and has oversight of information technology, finance, and human resources. Previous leadership positions include the National Restaurant Association, American Red Cross, Ellucian and XO Communications, acquired by Verizon. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts and serves as Chair of the nomination and governance committee. Barbara is also currently a board member of the Lupus Foundation of America, serving as Secretary and on the governance committee. Barbara holds a BA in political science from Rutgers University and has completed graduate coursework at Harvard Business School, American University and University of Maryland. She is also an ICF certified Executive Coach, public speaker and diversity thought leader.

Jamie Bosket began his tenure as President & CEO of the Virginia Museum of History & Culture in 2017. A private non-profit founded in 1831, the VMHC is the oldest cultural organization in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and one of the oldest and most distinguished history organizations in the nation. Previously, Jamie served in a number of leadership positions at George Washington’s Mount Vernon over a period of nearly ten years. In his final role, Vice President for Guest Experience, Jamie led Mount Vernon’s largest operating unit, which was responsible for welcoming and engaging more than one million annual guests. During his time at Mount Vernon, Jamie also contributed to the planning and building of the George Washington National Library. In 2014 Jamie was elected to the board of the Virginia Association of Museums, the leading state museum association in the nation. He has also served on the board of the Alexandria Historical Society. He currently sits on the Board of Visitors to Mount Vernon and, in 2020, he was appointed by the Governor of Virginia to help lead Virginia’s American Revolution 250th Commission.
