Building for the future

3/31/2026

6 min

In 2026, we mark 25 years since Tessitura was founded.

Every step of Tessitura’s evolution since then has been taken with you in mind. We listen to your requests, learn from your feedback and invest in your continued success. This has brought us to a moment that feels genuinely different, not because of what we've built in the past but because of what we're ready to do next.

Our technology vision is simple: We build for your needs, for your customers’ convenience and for the future of the platform that underpins both. We’re focused on the capabilities and outcomes that help your organizations do their best work.

Updating our roadmap

We recently made exciting changes to our product roadmap to keep you better informed about this work. You may be familiar with the now, next and on our radar categories we’ve used for the past several years. We’re adding phases and definitions to provide more clarity about when you can expect to see new enhancements.

  • Now: Solutions we’re preparing to put into your hands in the current or next quarter
  • In-progress: Solutions we’re currently building, with delivery beyond the next six months
  • Next: Solutions and ideas on deck or in early discovery
  • On our radar: Early-stage ideas or opportunities being considered for the future
  • Future horizons: Trends or technologies we’re exploring now to understand how they might shape technology in years to come

With this new framework in mind, here’s an update on what we’re working on now and plan to deliver in the next six months.

Ticketing and access

Your patrons’ expectations have never been higher, and the tools your staff members use must match the experience you’re trying to create. We’re making it easier for your team to manage ticketing from anywhere as we move more functionality into your browser. In the next two v16 releases, we plan to release the subscription summary, season overview, house view with seat map and batch administrator.

For organizations navigating transparent pricing regulations, we’re giving you more control over how fees are surfaced during the purchase journey. This ensures you can meet compliance requirements without disrupting conversions.

Transactions

Every channel your patrons use to buy should feel the same: fast, reliable and effortless. We are bringing the entire transaction experience into the browser, too. We have several members selling tickets there now. If you use Tessitura Roving Box Office or QuickSale heavily, please let us know so we can add your organization to our limited preview. Just email product@tessituranetwork.com

Fundraising and membership

Your members expect a modern experience, with convenience and opportunities for self-service. Digital membership cards, downloadable to their mobile wallets, mean they always have membership proof available without printing, posting or plastic. You get flexible templates, e-commerce self-service through TNEW and the tools to manage it all without manual overhead. Thank you to all our members who tested this functionality. We can’t wait to put the cards into general release this spring!

CRM and analytics

Better decisions start with better data. Real-time address verification ensures your constituent records are accurate from the point of entry, across the application and TNEW, reducing the downstream need to clean or correct data.

To make it easier to understand what your data tells you, we’re introducing AI-generated narratives that sit alongside your analytics widgets. These summaries help surface insights that aren’t immediately obvious, validate what you see and give you the confidence to act.

Payments

Processing direct debit or ACH payments will soon be simpler with native integrations in Tessitura Merchant Services coming in the second quarter. This enhancement offers a simpler, more reliable experience to support the pledges and recurring payments your fundraising team depends on.

For U.K. organizations managing auto-renewing memberships, we’re making it easier to send renewal notices in line with new regulatory requirements. This ensures compliance isn’t an operational burden.

Platform

The platform changes we’re making remove friction for your staff and give your IT team less to manage. Single Sign-On means your team logs in once, with their existing credentials — no separate Tessitura password, less admin and a more secure setup.

For organizations using Google Analytics 4, we’re adding robust e-commerce event data so you can better understand how patrons move through your online purchase journey and where you might be losing them.

Help shape what we build

Your feedback matters at every stage of product development. We want your input not just to review finished features but also to shape strategy, test early ideas and add context for how these tools could be more valuable.

Introducing the Arts & Culture Product Innovation Council

I’m excited to share a new way to engage. We’re launching the Arts & Culture Product Innovation Council, a formal body of senior leaders who will work alongside Tessitura’s product leadership to shape our long-term strategy. This isn’t a focus group or an exercise in creating a feature wish list. It has a direct influence on where we invest and how we prioritize, before the big, strategic decisions are made.

We’re looking for leaders who bring strategic vision, a distinct perspective and a genuine ability to represent the needs of the broader community beyond their organization. We’re actively seeking diversity across roles, disciplines, regions and experience. Applications are open now until May 12, 2026.

General admission focus groups

We’re also enhancing the way museums and attractions set up and sell general and timed admission events. We’re opening focus groups in the coming months to explore what you need most.

If general admission is a meaningful part of how your organization operates, we want you in the room. These are small, structured sessions that directly inform product decisions. If you’re interested in getting involved, please email product@tessituranetwork.com.

More ways to get involved

Beyond the council and focus groups, there are ways to contribute every day:

  • Share ideas via the Tessitura Community Ideas Board  — our product team reads every addition.
  • Participate in pilot and preview tests when new features are available — your feedback shapes what the rest of the community receives.
  • Email us directly at product@tessituranetwork.com.
  • Accept the optional analytics cookies when you log into v16 via your browser (v16.0.28+). These cookies not only enable in-app guides and other resources but also share data about how you use Tessitura, which will shape our enhancements to better reflect how you work.

The future is built together

Our work over the last few years has set us up to move faster and build smarter. All these decisions are best when they’re made with you.

Apply for the Product Innovation Council. Join a focus group. Submit an idea. We build better when we build together.
