Andrew Recinos, the new President & CEO of Tessitura Network, opened 2021 by reaffirming the company’s commitment to advancing the business of arts and culture.

Tessitura, a nonprofit technology company, helps arts and cultural organizations thrive through effective customer relationship management. After serving in key executive leadership roles at Tessitura for over nine years, Recinos begins his tenure as the nonprofit’s leader at a time of unprecedented innovation by the company and within the industry at large.

In service of its mission, Tessitura Network has aligned its leadership team to accelerate the company’s progress toward strategic and technological goals. The existing teams will become part of five groups: Innovation, Member Services, Professional Services, Growth, and Operations.

The Innovation Group will accelerate technology innovation by bringing together the company’s product, engineering, automation, integrations, and infrastructure teams. Co-founder and long-time technology lead Chuck Reif has made the decision to move to a new role of Chief Engineer. In consultation with Recinos, Reif invited John Jakovich to lead the new Innovation Group as Chief Innovation Officer.

“The existing teams and structures will be more closely aligned and better able to collaborate, share resources, and work toward unified goals,” said Reif. Alongside Reif, the leadership within the Innovation Group includes Anna Wessely, Vice President of Hosting Services, and Ron Wilson, Chief Technology Officer.

We’ll honor that trust as we continue to innovate into our third decade and support digital transformation for arts and culture.”

A hallmark of Tessitura is its nonprofit, member-owned structure. Karyn Elliott, Chief Member Officer, leads the Member Services Group, which is responsible for ensuring that the organizations in the Tessitura Network get the most out of Tessitura. Leadership within that group includes Kristen Olson, Vice President of Learning & Thought Leadership, and Melissa Champ, Vice President of Support.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Erin Koppel oversees the company's Professional Services group. This team of veteran consultants provides services to enable digital transformation, create engagement and revenue strategy, extend Tessitura’s core functionality through technical work, and support the ongoing business needs of member organizations.

Under the leadership of Chief Growth Officer Mara Hazzard-Wallingford, the Growth Group brings together marketing, sales, public relations, and brand identity.

The Operations Group is led by David Pearce, Chief Operating Officer & Managing Director, Europe. This group oversees finance, business services, and human resources, as well as regional alignment and partnerships. Jeremy Dixon continues as Managing Director, Asia Pacific. Ivan Medanic takes on the role of Senior Vice President of Partnerships with the goal of growing Tessitura’s vital ecosystem of strategic partnerships. Gina Jackson, Vice President of Finance; Laura Bowden, Vice President of People; and Marty Kennedy, Vice President of Business Services also provide leadership within the Operations Group.

All the key leadership roles in the company are held by long-time members of the Tessitura team who are trusted by the Tessitura community and respected within the industry.

Co-founder and former CEO Jack Rubin continues to serve the company as an executive advisor, working closely on strategic projects and relationships.

Tessitura enters 2021 with confidence in the future, having added 50 organizations to its community in the past year for a total of 726 arts and cultural organizations in 10 countries. In 2020, the company focused its efforts on supporting its member organizations through the coronavirus pandemic. That meant not only developing the tools that organizations needed, but facilitating the connections that arts and cultural professionals needed most by hosting over 200 webinars and community conversations. Simultaneously, the company continues to work toward its next major product release, which will further enhance its enterprise CRM system.
